no more disk aith Windows boot disk

I use Windows XP and I have made a boot diskette. When I tried it, on boot, no more disk were available, except drive a, both hard disk c and d were not. When I tried a dos command on drive c, the message: "Wrong disk specification" appeared. I was the same with Powerquest Driveimage 5. I could not restore the system in case of a problem, so please help me!

What file system do you use (Fat32 or NTFS)?

WinXP uses a completely different method of doing thing than Win9x...in other words DOS is no more at least out side of the OS...
