I came across this (http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/20040419/images/cpu_history_big.gif) on Toms Hardware. Might be intersting to have around...

I must admit I'm confused as to why a gif image of a hammer would be interesting to have around.

it's supposed to be a huge chart listing all processors to date (starting from the pentium/K5), including their clockspeeds, heat output, power consumption, FSB, cache,... .

It is when I click the link anyway...

try this: http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/20040419/images/cpu_history_big.gif

Well its very odd. When I save the link it downloaded the correct image just fine, but if I try to view it I get the following image:(:

Using Firebird on linux. I just find it really strange that I can download the correct image just fine but trying to view it results in that hammer image.

Not a bad find by the way.

No Mozilla at work!! Fire everyone! :D

hmmm, I'm afraid that would require me to be at the top of the food chain. Does "intern" cover that? :p  :D

Is this the article that shows a 100mhz Pentium with 512mb of memory running Windows XP? Heh, must be some slow booting up and such.

Hmmm..interesting...

Using Linux Mandrake 8.1, Galeon browser (open in a new tab option) I get the correct webpage with the CPU chart. The hammer and logo you posted earlier is shown in grey against a white background with text superimposed on top. Figured I'd sacrifice a bit of time typing rather than crop the picture and upload it...

You might not have a setting not quite right somewhere, or maybe that browser just doesn't like the webpage. If you have Knoqueror or Galeon on your Linux machine, try one of them and see how it works. Yeah Konqueror isn't great, too slow for my taste, but it works and should be ok to test with...I used it at first, until I got accustomed to Galeon, now it's the only browser I use. Mozilla crashed too many times, Lynx is...well all text, and I've always hated Netscape...Think I'll go see what that page looks like with Lynx...hehe...

Strangely the link now works just fine in Firebird, Mozilla and Konqueror?

Weirdness abounds.

I saw this thread yesterday and it would not load at all, tonight it loads fine...Firebird 0.8. I figure it was a server issue.
