Hi,
I'm running a brand new WinXP Pro machine at work. Being brand new, I had to load in the network printers used in the office. To do this, I logged in as my network administrator account.

Problem is this. After I have installed everything, when the user (without administrator rights) logged in to the PC, he cannot see the printers that I have installed. Under Ctrl Panel -> Printers and Faxes he cannot see any printers listed. But when I relog in as my account, I can see ALL the network printers that I previously installed.

Can anyone offer me any advise on this please?

This sort of problem is pretty common with XP.

Could you clarify what the situation is a bit more please -
Which printer is it?
Is this a newly installed printer?
Is the printer a 'network printer' (connected to a hub/switch)?
Is the PC you cannot access the printer from as limited user directly connected to the printer?
Is the printer connected to one PC, and shared from that PC?
Do you have other PCs running the same OS/Service packs that can see the printer?

It is generally down to the printer/driver manufacturers - many will often list a printer as being XP compatible, when the reality is different.
The first thing I'd check is that you did install the correct drivers - this may seem like an insulting remark, but it is extremely easy to get wrong. I've got a Panasonic KXP7100 here that just loves throwing up that sort of problem when I've needed to re-install it or share it.
Have a good look through the manual that came with the printer, including the obligatory online manual. Check for updated drivers from the manufacturers web site.

If necessary, remove the printer and re-install the drivers, following the instructions carefully (including those annoying bits of paper which often get tagged onto the manual as 'read me now, because the manual is wrong!)- just pretend you know nothing about them.

edit.........
I just came across a link which asked the same question - the response was to go here:

Has the printer been shared? RClick on it and select sharing to check.
