Sometimes when I use WinME FIND (Start > Search... > Find Files or Folders...) and I type in a filename that I KNOW is in C:\ or one of it's subdirectories then click Search it just sits there not showing up any files or even show a sign of searching. I've also tried using the other input-box "Containing Text" while trying actual filenames, and parts of filenames and some other things. It also returns nothing and shows no sign of searching. During both of these situations I always set the menu below them to "Look in" my C: drive, which is my only hard drive on this computer. I'm quite confused on what's going on here!

Please inform me of what the #@!% is going on please!

Thanks
-Joe

Hmm, when was the last time it did work.Have you tried system restore?take it back to a point that you can remember it was working and see if that helps.I will say windows Me will move some files around on it's own without telling you.
Unless someone else has a different idea I'd take it back a bit and see if it helps if not you can always undo.

#1 I disabled the restore function
#2 It has never worked which is why I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong

#3.... that's all

Thanks
