folder options not complying

I view most of my folders in 'list' view, and a few in 'large icons' so I reset folder options, to 'like current folder' which is in list view, and I also have 'remember each folders view settings' checked.
still all my folders open in 'large icon' view, if I reset them to list and open again, then they open in 'list' but after re boot, they go back to 'large icon'
I have tweak UI but can't find anything in there which could be causing it.

well I thought it had worked, but only until I re-booted. :(

I'll tell ya'

My computers Taskbar must be reset every time I reboot--- have "lock taskbar" checked--- never have been able to fix it--- luckily winXP doesn't need to be rebooted but about once every 2 weeks... sometimes more.
