hi all
after the first restart of windows 98 se setup , this message appeared " invalid vxd dynamic link library call to device number 3 , service b , your windows configuration is invalid ... press any key to continue "
when pressing any key , the computers shuts down , if i didnt press any key yhe computer shuts down too
the pc specs are : the motherboard is giga byte 2003 ddr with 533 bus , 2 x 128 M.B ddr , h.d western 80 g.b. , processor is intel 1.7/128 . some times the windows is good and suddenly this message appears again .
any help please ?

The next time you restart the PC, hold down the Control key(or keep tapping the F8 key)until the startup menu appears. Then select the option to use the step by step confirmation. A series of questions will then come up. Answer yes to each one but wait long enough before proceeding to the next. If there is a long delay in any of these(except for the Mouse vxd)then that could point to the virtual device driver(vxd) that's causing the problem.
