communication between two servers

hi all

I am using windows2000 advance servers. and have installed a new set of servers in clustered mode. my problem is that these severs are not communicating with the server in another network,though it is pinging to the gateway. i have checked at all the possiblities of the problem i can think of like ip address or ip conflict.

Also my earlier server which was an stand alone machine was woring fine. now also if connect it back to the network it works very fine.

Can please any one tell what can be the reason behind the problem, how can i detect and trouble shoot the networking problems

any help in this will be appriciated.
