hi
i am a new member of your forum, i appricate the hard work that the team members of this site are showing and i have problem which is:
whenever i boot the system in the fornt phase after the testing of memory
show in the IDE DETECTION that primary IDE channel no 80 conductor cable not installed
CMOS cheksum error - default loaded

warning! CPU has been changed, please re-enter CPU setting in the CMOS setup and save before you quits

The error message "No 80 condoctor cable" means exactly that. Either you're using a 40 conductor cable, or no cable is connected to the IDE controller at all. Newer drives use an 80 conductor cable. Check to be sure you have the right cable and it's connected securely.

CPU changed means BIOS sees a different CPU than the one used at last boot. That can be either a new CPU installed, or a bad CMOS battery. First, go into BIOS, check CPU settings and make sure it's right, save changes and exit.

If it does the same thing again change the battery.
