Cpu A: Is Windows XP.
Cpu B: Is Windows ME, and Canon printer.
The problem is when I go and mess around with Cpu B for a while, I can see and print anything from Cpu A.
However, when Cpu B screensaver's cuts off and when its idle for a while I can not browse or print on Cpu A.
Also during idle time I can not ping Cpu B(idled) from Cpu A. I do not think its hardware since the internet works all the time. I believe it could be some type of software problem or configuration with Windows ME. Anyway, Im stumped on this problem.
Thanks

i had the same problem with the windows ME . then i installed windows 98 release to that. then now it is working fine. i hope the windows ME is failed version for microsoft. those who installed windowsME around my friend they got lot of problems with that one.
so my suggestion is remove windows ME and install other than that one

Check to make sure the ME computer is not powering down the hard drive during down time.

Im not sure if the hard drive is powering down but Ive checked all the powerdown options in windows. There all set to never powerdown. I also went to the BIOS settings and powerdown is off, I think windows takes priority over the BIOS on power issues.
So everything looks fine in power settings. Hmm could be a failing harddrive but there are no other issues that leads me to think this. Dunno...

Cant be, I have a computer downstairs as well. It can browse all computers fine. The problem lies between the 2 computers Im referring too(cpu a,b).
