Is it just me, or is it becoming more and more difficult to get on that site lately?

More often than not, I'm getting:
CGI-limits reached, please try again later!
Other times, trying to look up a A CLSID for example, I'll get the page to load successfully but the search itself does nothing- Just goes back to the original search page...Or the above message again.
(other times the search is successful...Using the same CLSID)

I assume they are just getting hammered more than ever before?

I know of several other Sites for Startup items, but does anyone know a site as good as that one for a CLSID list?

Lucky you, I never even got that much, just a one-liner saying the server isn't available.

If you keep hitting reload, you usually can eventually get through, but then you may or may not be able to move on to get the next step... The people who run it are trying to fix it, but part of it is that it is just too popular now with all the malware crap attacking all the time...

One solution is to download the bholist.exe and run it from your own computer, but it may or may not be able to get a complete list to work from when you need it.... I am sure the situation will improve, but it isn't clear when that will happen yet....

If I can ever get on-- what would I do to accomplish that?

Thanks Bud...(Thank Fred for me too). :D

Yes, I figured as much. In light of the amazing increase in "malware Crap"- (couldn't have put it better myself), there are probably a whole lot more people checking it out than there used to be.

Thought of Downloading the list to my Computer, but I agree it could end up being a pain to use easily. Anyway, I'll just keep my fingers crossed. ;)

(edit) Just saw your post Donn...There is a link on the site to DL the list....And one heck of a list it is!

Thanks Steve...Just checked it out quickly.
I have to go out for the evening....(And running late as usual)
Will look closer later, but I didn't notice any sort of search function.
Is there one?

Later Gators. :p

Seeing that it's all on one long page, I just use the browsers search function. Edit > Find on This Page. Or Ctrl+F. ;)

Keep in mind that the ComputerCops page is not completely up to date usually, but it is only a few days off. If it doesn't show up in the list and you still suspect an item is bad, it may be....

Thanks guys.
Funny Steve, even though I was fully aware of the "edit/find on this page" option, it had been so long since I used it for anything, I completely forgot it existed.

Works slick. ;)
