Ok Donn, care to translate????
Classico--
SANDRA and AIDA32 are free downloads that will confirm, or deny, what your box actually contains. For instance. I bought an "open box" Compaq 5012US Pressario with a Pent II chip, that, after analysis by Aida and SANDRA, turns out to be a Compaq 5080US witha Celeron chip. I've tried wrestling with Compag and Best Buy, and they just stone-walled me, and I do not have money for a lawyer--if I did I, dude, I get an Hp.
So download AIDA32 on THAT machine and let it tell you what is actually there. I mean it will tell you everything. I'm surprised it didn;t read the assmeblers fingerprints. Happy hunting, hope you got a deal.....

I think it sounds like a pretty good deal! Intel on Intel. :) I would suggest bumping up the RAM, especially with the shared 64MB for video. And I'd swap out the CD drive for a burner.
Heck, if it comes with the XPpro cd, that is worth $140 on its own.

I added a CD-RW for about $30.00 and the RAM is Ok for what my daughter needs though 512 would be best. Yes it comes with All original sofware on CD.

I agree...Actually a pretty amazing price- especially with XP Pro and all original Software on CD. (I would say you'll have one very happy daughter there!)
Amazing how times have changed...Even though you can still spend the big bucks for top of the line equipment, it's unreal the Computing power you can get for the price these days compared to just a few years ago.
Almost breaks my heart when I think of what I paid for my first High Performance (486DX) "screamer". (Probably close to 3 Grand or more by the time I was done playing around with it!)
Note: I didn't say my first Computer, I said my first "high performance" Computer. :p

Looks good to me. I paid $750 last summer, for not much more system than you paid $350 for. 512 ram, cd-rom and cd-rw, 6 USB and 60 GB HDD, those are the only things I got better. Not bad for $400 less.

or
maybe this one (http://www.ubid.com/actn/opn/getpage.asp?AuctionId=9496667&refLoc=searchone)
These are factory refurbs that come with ALL original software and a 30 day warranty. I'd like a longer warranty, but I'm an Acer Authorized reseller so I'm familiar wuth their products and the quality has been good. That means when I sell them I don't ususally get to fix them.
