I'd like to get a water cooling system for my PC because it's really noisy now and extremely hot. I've been looking around but am not sure on what to get. I found this cheap one but it seems to be kind of a small system without a resivoir and it doesn't look like the water runs really cool:

$108 is pretty nice but I don't think it will do what I want.

Anyone have suggestions?

This place reviews lots of water cooling stuff,

Anyone have suggestions?

Get quieter fans, they are cheaper, less likely to lead to corrosion and effective....

The spring/summer humidity in your area will cause major condensation both on the water cooling block and the CPU/motherboard. I grew up 100 miles from Louisville, so I am familiar with the climate. I would suggest quieter air cooling.

Edit: If you want to go to water cooling anyway, see this regards maintenance of the cooling solutions: overclockers water chemistry (http://www.overclockers.com/tips1153/)

dangerden (http://www.dangerden.com), cooltechnica (http://www.cooltechnica.com) and frozencpu (http://www.frozencpu.com) are all great sites to get parts from. But if your worried about condensation (and the cost) quailty air cooling will get you far. What are your system specs?

For $108, you good get a really good fan and avoid growing bugs in a water tank ;)

Its in my profile, sorry if I'm too lazy to type them again.

As for fans; since there seems to be, by your suggestions, I should just make my airflow better. Well I'd also like to keep it quiet while keepin my processor 500MHz above normal and in a good temp range. My volcano 9 I have found to be the biggest problem it is EXTREMELY LOUD!

I have seen a large heatsink for video cards that doesn't have a fan. It's size just pulls the heat away and the airflow cools it. I can't find it again though. Any fan ideas or setups to quiet this out?

Quiet, very effective coolers:

Aerocool HighTower (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-183-107&depa=0)

Zalman (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-118-109&depa=0)

They are big. The Zalman will fit your board, but you need to snip off part of one of the clips as shown on this page (http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/cooler/7000a-462_motherboard_list_eng.html)

Both should be OK for a 2500+ oc'ed to 3200++.;)

Or do like I did, get a Thermalright SP-97 and a nice 2400rpm 92mm fan. Cools my barton 2800+ oc'ed to 2.35 GHz in Taiwan heat and humidity. Quiet too.

thanks,

The zalman's a bit cheaper so I'll probably go with that. However, I'm not understanding the picture showing what I need to cut off...:(

There is a clip on either side with two screw holes in each for mounting. The outside holes are for socket 754/940 AMD64. The inside holes are for P4 and Athlon K7. You will need to snip off one of the outside holes on the clip because there is a capacitor in the way.

Only problem is, if you someday upgrade to an AMD64 you won't be able to use the heatsink.:(

Make sure your case is big, and the power supply is not right at the top edge of the board. Measure out 55mm from the centre of the socket towards the PSU to be sure.

Thanks for the clarification. I have about 3-4 inches between the mobo and PSU, as for the case;
