Have you guys noticed the Spybot site has been out of commission for a few days. Have the Spyware people started a DDOS attack against them? Just wondering

Yes--it seems that they did have a DDOS attack. I went to their site yesterday to download SpyBot for my daughter but I couldn't get it. So, I went to download.com and did a search which brought me to a place where I could download what I wanted. By the way, I have a vague idea what a DDOS attack is. It there anyone who could shed some more light on it for me--and I'm sure there are some other members who would like to be enlightened on it,too.

The distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack - a DoS attack where many computers work together to attack a target system - has also become widespread due to the efficient and available tools which can set up and launch such an attack.
