Hi Ernie--I was just being in one of my silly moods. I went to Altavista's translation site http://world.altavista.com/ and typed in something and then translated it to Spanish. I then did a copy/paste.:)
I told my wife what I did and she looked at me kind of funny. Do you suppose she's starting to wonder about me after nearly 50 years????

The only spanish I know I learned from Alexie Sayle.

¿Dónde está el gato eléctrico?

(Where is the electric cat?)

So I agree with what Frank said.:D

¿Trabaja mejor en español? Porque es horrible en inglés.

Como sobre o tagalog?

So Frank you speak the same language as me!

The next time the wife gives you one of those looks say to her
"Whositgaunyerselhen?" (This is a west cost (Glasgow) enquiry as to the welfare of a lady)

Just be careful though her reply might be
"Ochawaanbileyerheedyanauldidiot" (This is a fairly common reply from someone who thinks you have finally cracked up)

I'll be darn! She has been saying that to me for years! I always thought it meant, "Oh you are such a wonderful man." :o  I sure have learned a lot on this forum.

No Ce habla Tagalog, but I lived in Hawaii for almost nine years (non-military), and I know it when I hear it. However, I speak great Hawaiian Pidgeon. . . .

(we should probably take this thread to 'After Hours' now, right?

Might be a good idea. Sorry I took it off course--hope nobody minds. But I think that a little humor once in awhile is good for the soul.
