Did something really stupid, I checked my computer onto an aircraft. I was under the impression that it would be x-rayed, but that x-rays are not harmful. Clearly whatever they subjected my computer too, however, was most harmful as it will no longer boot. Anyone have any ideas if *any* of my computer would still be functional after something like this?
thanks

I'd say if it went underneath as regular baggage it's more likely that mishandling would be suspect. Open the case and see if anything is loose inside, make sure you ground yourself on the chassis then unplug it first, check all cards and cables and make sure they are all seated properly.
See if you can at least get video and let us know...
