Does anyone know any free software that can be used for creating and restoring images?
So, software that can copy and all files form HD to a single file.
and than restoring this image to empty disk.

There was another link today in the Forums for Acronis Drive Image (http://www.hotlib.com/products1.php?Id=1171) , which has a paid $49 version as well. I have never tried Acronis as I use DriveImage ($69).
I am using the same DriveImage Pro too at the moment. It’s very powerful. But the problem is that I am running out of the license.
We bought the license for 10 workstations. What does this mean????
Well I am installing only in one PC (which acts as a server) and booting other pc-s (like 20 more pc-s ) at the same time with a floppy disk and restoring the image to all computers at the same time.
So what does this license mean???
Am I doing any illegal stuff if I do as I described if I install on one pc only??? And boot others pc with a floppy??

I would say you have to get someone to read the license carefully, sounds like you can install it on up to 10 clients, meaning you can completely image and restore up to 10 clients if need arises. Beyond that would be a possible risk.
The reason for buying DriveImage for networks is that the backup images can be stored on network drives automatically. It also can be used to roll out cloned copies of sucessfully tested configurations for patches and upgrades.

Image Maker 1.1 (http://www.pcreview.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=1037) is a Freebie and works pretty well. It is however very basic and only makes a literal copy of the partition with no compression, error checking, etc.
