Welcome.....
Please give us all the specs you possibly can about your PC.
The Hi-Low alarm is a systems warning signal. Something is in trouble. Like the CPU or the fan on the CPU heatsink. Numerous things. Is the PC new? Or new enough to still have warranty?
Sometimes the setting for the alarm (in CMOS) is just set to low. But thats usually just wishful thinking.
Post back with us, please.

its a friends pc dont have access to system info as not bootable but what i remember is
advent pc
athlon processer (pos700mhz)
128mb ram (pc100)
ATI rage 128 graphics card
soundblaster sound card (unsure which one)
internal 56k v90 data/fax/voice modem (again unsure which type)
not a new system but possibly still under warranty
if cmos alarm setting too low how do you change it?
