usb 2 upgrade

I have an older pentium 3 500 mhz system. The system consists of a mini tower that was meant to add componets by way of usb only. No internal slots. My question is this. The system is usb 1 .Is there a way to upgrade to usb2?

Asuming that your usb-ports are located on your mobo (meaning: they're not on an pci-addon card) there is no way to upgrade to usb 2.

If the usb-ports are located on a pci-addon card (or possibly front usb in the case itself) then you can upgrade them fairly simple.

Thank you very much for your reply.I do have usb ports on the front of my case. I also have a usb2 card from another computer. I guess I will have to open it up and take a look.
