Just a quick question...

I've been looking to get a new MP3 player, and I've been looking for one that uses a PCMCIA card (Type II or III), but I can't seem to find one.

The reason I'm looking for a player that uses this type of memory is I've just bought a new laptop and I'm finding it a right pain sorting out all the wires that go with it, the mouse, earphones and all the power cables and of course the USB cable for my mp3 player (Both for the laptop and my player).

What I'd like to know is whether or not any mp3 players actually exist that use this technology, and if so where can I get them?

(Any UK retailers would be a plus!!!)

Thanks in advance...

Ally

There aren't any MP3 players that use the PC Card technology. It wouldn't make much sense since MP3 players are supposed to portable and PC Cards are intended to be like PCI slots - internal and relatively permanent.

I can understand your frustration with trying to juggle all the cords that go along with a laptop, but why use an MP3 player when you've got a laptop right in front of you?? Just copy the MP3's from your MP3 player to the laptop and listen to it off the laptop. Alternatively, mute the laptop and listen to the MP3 player straight thru a set of headphones. Having the MP3 player attatched to the laptop at all times isn't necessary and kind of defeats the ultra-portable purpose of the MP3 player.
