Yesterday when i started up my comp, it was running really slow, so I assumed virus, and did an online scan, and sure enough, the scan detected a couple of files that were infected, so I deleted them. Now when I boot i recieve the bride.dll message that everyone else seems to be getting these days. I did the hijackthis thing and got a log file.

I am afraid you have quite a bit more that bridge on there... So let's clean it up...

You seem to have HJT running from your Desktop, unless you don't mind have backups all over your Desktop it would be a good idea to create a folder like C:\HJT and run it from there... You may want to print this out so you have it to refer to. Then close all open windows and browsers, run HJT and mark/fix:

Then I recommend fixing these as well. Kontiki is borderline as malware, but not worth the risk. FindFast is an unneeded resource hog. Internet Optimizer is considered to be legit, but has all the signs of malware.

Then please reboot into Safe Mode and remove these. Check in Add/Remove Programs first and remove them there if you find them. The "pcs" may be listed as Purity Scan or Promulgate. If not, find and delete the files/folders... Make sure Windows is set to show all hidden files since many of them hide:

Here is my prevention speech to keep it clean:

This is a good time to set up protection against further attacks. You need an antivirus that is updated, a good firewall (a router firewall is not enough) and a spyware blocker like SpywareBlaster and also IE-Spyads. All of these have good free versions available... be very cautious about any security software that advertises in popups or other intrusive ways, they are not only usually useless, but also often have malware in them....
