I have "no' checked under "Use 'Email Notification' by default?"
and I'm still getting email notices? Anything else I can do, it's starting to clog my box.....

Are you subscribing to threads? If so, don't. Save the shortcuts instead into a folder such as 'pcg thread saves' like I do. Purge or review them once in awhile deleting a few not needed anymore etc...

The only emails I get are notices to 'replies to personal messages' and I don't really need those either as I check my email and pcg all in 'one fell swoop' (http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/50500.html) anyway. Besides, if you click on the shortcut in the email notification, then reply to the pm, when you go to the forums all new posts are not highlighted anymore and the last post date has to be searched through for the 'today's' and 'yesterday's' posts.

Simply, the email is to let me know to go to pcg and open my user control panel.

Yeah, that's whatz got me puzzled--I'm getting an e-mail notice for everything I post in, and I am not subscribing. Weird.
I usually just check my cp, and then just got to new posts, which for some reason seems ot diappear a lot of times after I click on the first one. Also weird/ Whatever, if anyone knows any way to cancel the e-mail notices, let me know.

It's hard to tell what the problem is that you are describing. It does sound like you have been subscribing to threads that you may not have intended to. Please post more information and I will see if I can help.
