Drive letters don't match now.
I installed a new HD and partitioned it differently then before and now my other computer on my LAN has different network dive letters and names for the partitions (drives) on the new one.
Is there a way to delete network drive folders on the second computer and then add them on again?
Hope I made some kind of sense.

RClick on the mapped drive and "Disconnect" it.
From Tools Menu in MyComputer choose "Map Network Drive" to create a new Drive Letter for the Shared Folder.

The computer conected to my main computer is running Win ME.
When I rclick on on of the drives under "My Network Places" that is not a choice.
If I go to Tools, it gives me the option to "Disconnect Network Drive" but nothing happens.
I can delete the "drives"
What I'm trying to correct are folders like "Programs (e) on Wolfe" in case I'm not using the correct terminology.

You actutally made no sense at all to me.
What were the partitions on the computer before adding the new drive. Let's call it machine A. This machine was accessed by machine B. And the drive letters in machine B were assigned.
If this is correct, please explain what the drive letters were and how they changed?
The old drives should be listed in my computer with a red x through them. If the share names are the same, the drive letters should not change at all.
So post back and answer my question and I can help you.

OK, "A" the main computer has a new HD. I changed the number of partitions from what I had on the old HD so the drive letters are different and I also changed some of the names of the partitions.
So on "B" I'm seeing the some old configurations (folders) and some new ones but the names and the drive letters don't "jive".
So a folder that says (F:)Data may actually be (G:) Programs.
When I added the partitions using PartitionMagic I changed the drive letter around so my two ROM drives are the last two drive letters.
So I thought if I could clear off "B" and set it up again it would be easier than trying to figure out what "(G:) Programs" really is and reconfigure.
Sorry for the lack of correct verbage. I don't know much about networking as you can tell.

The "folders" in My Network Places are virtual folders (representing the underlying shares) and can be deleted (which doesn't delete the underlying source. They are created there when such shares are first accessed and don't automatically disappear - even if the underlying source is changed or removed. To get the new ones to appear there - just access the shares from My Computer or the Microsoft Network Tree.

Doe you share the entire drive on computer A. This is very dangerous. That means anyone on the network or a hacker could easily delete or screw up your OS.
You should only share those things that need sharing.
Please go to my computer on computer A and list everthing that is there and if it is shared. If it is shared, there is a blue hand under the grey drive icon.

This one worked for me and cleaned up the mess at the same time.
"thewolfe, you can just delete those wrong drives/folders in My Network Places or in My Computer. That'll free up the drive letters.
I've now figured out how to get them corrected in My Network Places (MNP) in ME. I've got a network of w2k and ME.
First I deleted the wrong icons in MNP in ME.
Then I unshared all the drives/folders in w2k.
Then I rebooted ME. Now it's correct, no icons because no network shares.
Now I reshared all the drives/folders on the w2k machine.
Rebooted ME. The icons all showed up again correctly."
