Hi there,
Here we go. My first post and asking for help.
Things to consider: I am an absolute beginner in networking and limited knowledge in PC stuff. Living in Europe and using XP in french.
Issue: wireless network installed recently. Worked one week ago for about 15 min only. Afterwards, desktop doesn't want to "see" the router, no internet, nothing.
I have a Netopia Cayman ADSL router and a ADSL connection.
A laptop with XP and an TI ACX 100 wireless card. WEP activated.
IP 192.168.1.38 assigned by DHCP,
Gateway 192.168.1.1
access point. Windows XP
The internet is working like a charm.
A desktop with a D-Link AirPlus DWL-120+ wireless USB adaptor. Running XP also.
IP 192.168.1.30 assigned manually.
Gateway 192.168.1.1 assigned manually
I can not connect to the internet, I can not share files and printer with the laptop.
Both are usig the same SSID.
Desktop is hooked to the network and the signal is excellent. I have tried deactivating and activating XP Zero Configuration.
Help. Thanks in advance.
