Service Unavailable - DNS failure

When I try to search from the Address bar I get the above message.

I was originally trying to search through Google but am not even able to search on MSN which normally would be the default.

I had posted this under WinXP but realize this is a internet connection problem.

The Internet Options under Tools has the proper "Search from Address bar" option checked.

I just re-installe XP if and haven't been able to search since.

Any ideas?

Do you use an adsl modem or router?
Do you input the settings manually?
Have you enabled the network connection (sounds daft, but sometimes I have disabled my LAN, then started to panic when I foget to switch it back on)

Anyway, answer the above and help will be on its way.
