Guys, i want to set up SQLserver on one of our servers. I don't expect the app that will use the DB will be processor intensive.
I talked to one guy who said that there may be problems adding another app to a server because the servers were created with a specific need in mind. One server has our billing info and it already has SQL server2000 on it. The other is a web server.
1) why can't i just use the DB we have an create my own tables etc with my own password and that not be a problem for billing?
2) would such a small DB present a problem even if the servers were designed with only those particular functions in mind.
I just find it hard to believe that i will have to get a brand new server jsut to host a small app.
