Hi everyone
I just bought a Gigabyte GA-60xet Mobo, and a 1 GHz Pentium III processor this board is based on Intel's 815ep chipset. This type of motherboard comes with an already installed sound card made by Creative Labs and its called, CT8850, anyway this card could be disabled from withing the bios, and I did that inorder to install my other sound card which is the good old Diamond Monster MX300, sound card. The disabling process went very good, and everything went ok. Now, the problem is that each time I start the windows I get a message saying that my VORTEX AU8830 card is not installed on the primary PCI bus but on the secondary PCI bus, and this will lead to the disabling of my joystick and many
other features in my sound card. What do they mean by a secondary PCI bus, and how do I install the card the primary PCI bus. I still can hear voice from my computer, but I can't see the joystick part when I open the device manager in the system tab under the control panel. Please tell me what is wrong with my machine. By the way I have alson installed a U.S robotics 56k internal modem, and its a PCI too, and there's no conflict of any kind with the sound card.
Please advice me on this problem ASAP.
