Well, what does it have?

How about IE6?
Firewall and A/V?
How much RAM?
Could it handle 98?

Ah No, I guess I wasn't clear. I meant tips and tricks, like registry edits and the like to make it run better. I did not mean adding software.

Post the full specs:
RAM, Processor, HD etc. I still have a P-II 233 with 96MB RAM running Win95 on my network. Ir runs pretty good, noit as good as my P4, but it runs ok.

Post what you have & then we can tweak it.

I was just looking to tweak the OS not the machine.
It has 8 megs of RAM and 200 meg hard drive, lol. It doesn't matter Im almost done with this dinosaur.

There is not much tweaking you can do with this little amount of RAM. I would run regedit and see what programs are running at startup and see what you can disable.

Put some DOS games on it after (and in order to) taking the modem out!

'200mb' HDD? You must have meant 'one of these paperweights' laying around the house? LOLLOL... Sorry, but an internet pc with 200 megs of HDD space! ..is rather slim...

You could go from Start to Run, type in Sysedit and when you select the file(from its window), look for "386Enh" then write in MinFileCache=1MB which is setting the disk cache at one eighth of your RAM size, also add MaxFileCache=2MB, thereby setting the maximum cache size at one quarter. Also you could write in ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1.
