Hello all,

As the subject states, I want to purchase a 17' LCD monitor for my computer, but I am unaware about what specs to look at in order to determine the best monitor for the cost. Questiosn such as, is it better to purchase a monitor with high reaction times or lower reaction times begiule me. Likewise, I play a lot of video games on my computer and I have heard that LCD monitors are not able to keep up with the Unreal Tournaments and the C&C Generals games. Is this true, and if so, would I be better off sticking with my CRT instead of getting the LCD?

any help would be appreciated.

If I were looking for a 17" LCD monitor theViewsonic VP171B (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-276&depa=1) is the one I would buy. All of the reviews seem to say good things and it has a fast response time of 16ms with good brightness and contrast.

I am going to buy its big brother the ViewSonic VP201B (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-285&depa=1)
