It would be more interesting if you told us all what the problem was.

Yeah, but when will we know when it's fixed, or what we did to fix it?

i tnink its the router at least Don't worry PrntRhd. He'll probably give us another hint when he's done thinking about whether it's the Router or not. :D
Then again, maybe when he says he thinks it's the Router "at least" , that means it's not only the Router, but a whole lot of other stuff too.
Wow! This really is interesting! :p

Hold on a minute guys.
Everyone goes a different way to reach somewhere, this is his route(r)

Good point Ernie-
One thing's for sure. Which ever Route he decides to take in order to resolve this, we've got ourselves one very interesting thread on our hands.
(At least I think we do)

Welcome Mark!
It may be a problem with the Router. We're really not sure.....still thinking about it.
So far, we know that if it's not a problem with the Router, then there is something else wrong, so we're definitely making progress. :p

I definately think it might be a problem with the router! But first I suggest a complete set of security scans and get rid of that slime infested, filth farm called Kazaa...:p :D

Maybe he can't get back on line because of the router
The world wonders:D

But first I suggest a complete set of security scans and get rid of that slime infested, filth farm called Kazaa Yes, that could certainly cause problems. Good call Steve!
If that doesn't work, possible excessive Power Draw is the culprit. Try unplugging the Refrigerator for a few days and see if that helps.
Too many three way light bulbs in the house have also been known to cause Routers to have interesting problems. (At least I think it was the light bulbs).
If all of the above fixes fail, buying a new Computer, Modem, Speakers, Router and all new wiring and Cabling has generally been successful.
Even though your Router is Wireless you can never have enough Cat5 cable.
(A new Scanner most likely will not help and is therefore optional).

Yes! I knew I had heard that somewhere before! :D
And where the heck is classicsoftware when you need him?
His new canned scum-ware speech may very well help to resolve this problem too.
An excellent intro. I looked around in hopes I could reprint it with his permission, but couldn't find the exact instructions I was looking for.
One thing for sure at this point....it's not looking good at all for the Router.
(Or any perishable foods) :(

Is this thread called As the router turns? Days of our router? The Guiding Router, The Young and the Router?

First of all it's not a speech, it's a spiel.
I'll let you guys chew on that for a while.....

Thanks classic....there will be no need for the "spiel" after all.
Bill Gates finally admitted to me over lunch that the interesting problem is caused by Internet Explorer, and has nothing whatsoever to do with the Router.
I just hope superdrumr remembered to plug his Refrigerator back in.

If nothing is wrong will the mods move it to the Nothing thread?
