just upgrade my comp to athlon xp 1600
before christmas but when i check the temp
it is 57'c (when i start up my computer)
and it is increase to 65'c after couple hours.

i knew there was something wrong with my cpu and the motherboard. then i called the salesperson, he told me i have to buy another fan for athlon. he also told me that he open the shop around second week of january.

anyway my motherboard is gigabyte 7ZXE (kt133) and the fan is Thermaltake Volcano 6CU (For AthlonXP).

Unfortunately the Thermaltake 6cu is not one of the best heatsinks on the market.
But the problem you are having my be something other than that.
First do you have an adequate amount of air flow into the case?
Do you have an exhaust fan mounted behind the cpu but below the power supply to draw air across the board to the cpu fan ?
Is the heatsink mounted correctly with the correct amount of thermal paste?
Using to much paste can cause this problem ..
What are you using to measure the temp?
The bios temp reading is normally the most accurate .

I suspect that your readings are off or the heatsink is Not mounted correctly
If you do in fact have a cold boot cpu temp of 57.
It only takes 10 seconds to Cook an athlon

Yeah ditto that rick, you need to get the Volcano Cu+ , or get a least a 7000RPM fan, and hook it up to a big molex instead of the mobo. Also get a couple of case fans, to cool it down a bit.

Would you believe that AMD states maximum chip-die temperature

for the XP is 90C ?

Click this link for some information on the XP.

Personally I would find the best all-copper Heatsink/Fan unit that my wallet could afford. The SK-6 is Primo.

Luck.

as ranchdog mentioned, the maximum temperature your AMD XP 1900 (1600GB) is 90 'c. So It's not a problem. Just for your peace of mind, i recommend you to buy a new casing that dissipates heat much faster (aluminium case) and if not just add exhaust fan to cool your casing.
