View Full Version : Problems with new Yahoo-mail
Hi,
After the change of storage capacity and interface of yahoomail, i m having problems with its buttons.
The "DELETE", "SPAM", "MARK" and "MOVE" buttons do not work at all. For me they haven't worked even once since the change in yahoo-mail. :(
I wonder if only i am having these problems
Any help shall be highly appreciated.
thx.

I googled on this very peculiar problem of yours, and found that, if the advertisements on the page are blocked (by add blockers etc), then the buttons wont work ! ..hmm
You may try this...
Tools->Internet Options -> Security -> Choose Trusted Site
Click on Sites Button and add
http://ad.doubleclick.net
Check out this site for more...

Thnx a lot Rahul
well, i did as per ur instructions but nothing changed.
The link u provided also was suggesting the same that the adds are blocked and then the buttons don't work but here in my case the adds are NOT blocked; still the buttons and also the "check all" option don't work.
Anyways, i m a bit relieved that there ARE some other people experiencing it.

If many people are facing this problem, then yahoo may issue a fix soon. Till then, use another browser...
Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/)
CAUTION: After using this browser, you may not return to IE. :p
EDIT:...uhh, if the problem is IE specific, that is.

I have Eudora mail accounts, now yahoo accounts.
As of yesterday I cannot log into any of them. I have tried three different browsers. Just keep getting System Error, please empty cache.
This makes no difference. I only hope yahoo gets this sorted out quick as I have important mails stored in one account. Teach me for being lazy and not storing of-line

Ernie, you may try ePrompter (www.emprompter.com) or YahooPops for the timebeing...
ePrompter automatically and simultaneously checks and retrieves your email messages from up to sixteen password protected email accounts such as AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, Earthlink, Email.com, iName, Juno, Lycos, Mail.com, Mindspring, MSN, Netscape, POP3, OneBox, Rediffmail, SBC Yahoo, Switchboard, USA.net and hundreds of other email domains.
YPOPs! is an application that provides POP3 access to Yahoo! Mail. It is available o_n the Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac platforms.
Yahoo! Mail disabled free access to its POP3 service o_n 24th April, 2002. This application emulates a POP3 server and enables popular email clients like Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, Mozilla, etc., to download email from Yahoo! accounts. We do not go against the license agreements of Yahoo! Mail. This application is completely legitimate and well within the realms of legal software.

Rahul
Thanks for the links. But both of them are in-accesable (I will try again later)
Finally managed to get into my mails this morning after 4 days. I wonder if it was because they were doing the official change over form Eudora to Yahoo?
