View Full Version : Lost my toolbar in Windows explorer

Dont know how but my toolbar has gone from windows explorer. Have tried reset in folder options but no luck. Anyone give me a clue?? I cant drag the toolbar open or even open it by clicking in the area where it should be..

Have you tried clciking View > Toolbars > Standard Buttons? Or View > Toolbars > Customize...?

Check the link above.

Be careful when editing the registry!

Click Start/Run/ type regedit <enter>

Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\Explorer

In the right pane, right click the ITBarLayout entry , and delete. It will be rebuilt when you restart windows.

Malcore,

did look at the link but its for that new fangled XP thingy!!! So steered away. Also saw it mention "Internet Explorer" as you did in your last post and that made we think "wrong thing"!! I edited the registery and all is now ok!!

Sorry, I should have said XP/2K as they are still very similar in many ways, both using the NT kernel.

Glad you got it sorted.:)
