For no apparent reason my computer won't boot up. When I turn the power on, the light on the DVD and CD drivers light. Then nothing. No POST, no beeps. The monitor displays "no signal input" Worked fine yesterday. Thanks for any input.

Is your moniter plugged in? Give that a check. Both ends of the cable. It might have come loose.

Why the double post to the question?

Thank you for your advice. Cables are secured but have the same problem. Could it be a virus? Also I failed to mention, I can't turn off computer unless it's unplugged.

The first thing I would try is to clear the Cmos.
Unplug the power supply cord. Then press the power button on the case.
This will force any and all power in capacitors to be discharged .

Remove the cmos battery and If it’s has a clear cmos jumper on the mother board set that also.
Wait a short time then reset the clear cmos jumper and install the Battery again.
Plug in the system and reboot.

Also listen or better yet Look for all fans .
Make sure they are all working including the power supply , cpu and case fan
