Puzzled?

I have Windows XP on my computer and IE 6.0, how do I keep my (selected) home page as the default? When I go to the internet properties page and enter it, it does not remain if I reboot my computer. It keeps defaulting to the same search engine that I never use? And I don't know how this page was selected?

It sounds like your browser has been infected by a hijacker, download and run:
Adaware
Spybot
