.aspx files (or pages?) not working properly

Hey everybody. Got a problem I haven't been able to fix for some time and I figured I'd bring it to someone else to help. Some of the stuff I've download has been having problems finding a program association for http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/starwars_galaxies.aspx and other files(or sites?) with the .aspx file type. when I manually type the site into internet explorer it works perfectly fine but in order to use the software it has to do it through an autorun, i guess. Whatever the problem is I would really like to get it fixed because some of the stuff that uses this file type is needed for college in the fall. I will provide basic computer information for now but if anything else is needed I'm glad to give up almost any information about software or hardware in or on my computer. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me, I'll be watching so I can try fixes and respond as soon as possible.

sorry i posted it here first not knowing this was the windows area, i then realized my problem was probably not a windows problem and posted it in the other area. I wanted to delete this but I couldn't find out how.
