I have two computers one with 128mb running on win 2000 the other 64mb running on win98. Of late I have observed anytime I start the two computers they lauch scandisk utility although I shut the two computer using shutdown option in windows.
While working the computer on win98 sometimes brings a blue dos screen displaying an error.
What can be done to correct the problem.

A memory related issue. One thing I'd recommend is adding more RAM. YOu still might get the blue screen but less often.
