Hi everyone,:)
At the risk of sounding like a total noob I am having difficulty accessing and monitoring clients on our network. We have a Win 2000 Adv Server running Active Directory and for the life of me I can not monitor any clients on the network from my machine. I am running Win XP Pro. What I am trying to do is use some third party software like Iris, Hyena and/or EMCO Network Inventory to see what is going on on the network. My account has Admin rights across the board in Active Directory but I can not gain access. On some of the applications it will scan the Lan and grab the domain and show the clients but it will not access any of the clients. I keep getting errors that I don't have Access Rights or the correct permissions. I prefer to keep everything (applications) on my pc as opposed to doing all this from the server.
When the client computers were set up initially did I miss something that is blocking my access?
thanxx
