Seems when I did an update from MS today one of the other things that happened was that it upgraded the windows update engine.
Now version 5 it is set up a little different then ver 4.
Now only 2 choices .
Express critical and express for everything else.
On the right side gives you choices for automatic updates.
Not everyone will get the auto update to version 5 but there is a link in the security forums of,
www.dslreports.com I think this is for XP only, not sure, also must be valid copy of XP.
Otherwise no big deal.

Hi Mark....hate to see your posts go without a reply. ;)

Yes, I've also updated to v5 and after the thread about SP2 RC2, I also downloaded the service pack on one machine. (Couldn't resist)
malcore and Shanmuga were right. Seems to be rock solid and It's pretty neat!
Some nice new features.

The screen shots and other info provided by Shanmuga and malcore in THIS THREAD (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30888) pretty much show it all.

Oh, and malcore Yes, pretty cool that you actually like it. :p (From other thread)
Hey, thanks jabar and Mark. Can I quote you on that to my wife?
YES! ;)

I'm curious if I'll have to uninstall the RC2 when the final release comes out, or if Windows Update will detect it and update accordingly. (My guess is I'll have to uninstall).
I know that was true with the earlier releases, but RC2 seems to be quite "polished" and pretty much what the final release will be.

The "nags", as mentioned in the other thread are really no big deal, and you get used to the features and a few tweaks here and there quickly.
Anyway, I'm liking it!
