Virus, Help!

I just got a virus on my computer... I think from a picture I downloaded that was suppose to be of a band... turned out being a .vbs file and I opened it, not paying attention, being the idiot that I am...... anyways it appears that it has turned all of my .mp3 files and .jpg files into .vbs files............ has anyone heard of this, and what should i do????????

Also... if i try to change the file extension back it says that i can't because there is already a file with that name...

I would try an online scan here (http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/) or grab AVG (http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_index.htm) if you don't have another AV program and use it....I don't know which one it might be, off the top of my head.
