Virus/spyware software

I have the following software programs to detect viruses and spyware. Can you give me anymore suggestions for free software programs to scan and clean for viruses and spyware?

CW-Shredder
AVG
AboutBuster
HijackThis

That's pert much the line up...I use Script Sentry also, which can function against spyware. I also use these diagnostics every once on a while just to check the browser integrity:

I use LeakTest, DCOMbobulator, ShieldsUp, and UnplugNpray.

But the better part of using these programs, and if you are using Windows and IE especially, is that you have to stay updated on *everything*...Windows, IE, and Outlook. Spybot, Adaware and AVG update about every three days. The others you have to check on. I'm using AVAST free edition now, (used to use AVG free), so I'm not sure what the frequency of updating is, so I update every time I use it (about 3 days depending on where I go on the net).

Edit: I also keep Stinger, and various bug and adware removal tools on hand just in case.

It scans for Trojans, Dialers, Worms, and Spyware.

Works well and looks good too.

I got the tip from ErnieK.

Also add "Spywareguard" from here

It catches' and shuts down, anything that gets past the blockers.

Could it be that the reason I never have any trouble is that I wear 2 suits of armour and carry a flame thrower? :D :cool:
