Can-Spam a failure

I disagree with the title... Can-SPAM is not a failure... it is a joke that never had a chance of being a success... It was designed to help legit companies SPAM without doing a thing to stop the bastard companies/individuals that normally do the SPAMming...

It is a failure in that it was supposed to make the voters think Congress was "doing something" about Spam, but failed since its ineffectiveness has come to light months earlier than the politicians who voted for this crap thought it would, like AFTER the elections. Now they can take more contributions from both the pro-spam and anti-spam lobbyists before coming up with a "Son of Can-Spam".
