Hello all, I have been lurking for a while and really enjoy the information I have read. The information has already helped me to clean up my computer and its associated problems.
I followed classicsoftware's instructions from his post in thread NetworkingandInternet/ApplicationsandSecurity/SonyLaptoptooSlowtoOperate
I performed all but the on-line scans. Attached is the log of HJT.
Attention moderators...if this is not the right place to post this question, please move to appropiate forum.
thanks,
kev

You are nearly clean. Well done so far.
Reboot, into safe mode.(Tap the F8 key as the computer boots, and select safe mode from the options menu)
