hi
i have seagate 60GB hard disk .the problem is : when i try to make a partetions it will not recognize the full size, it will be just 8.something GB. can any one help me overcome this case ?

Most likely you need to tweak your Bios settings

Eihter that or the BIOS is not able to handle a larger than *GB drive and it would either need to be updated or you would have to use what is known as a drive overlay...a download from the drive manufacturer if it was not included with the drive......

thank you all but' still i have the same problem. what do you mean by drive overlay & how cuold i do any thing while there is no operating system ? please give me every idea you have.

Please visit the Seagate website. Browse around while there and use thier program for installing large Harddrive.
