Just as MS released SP2 today, so has Lavasoft released a new improved version of AdAware: AdAware SE 1.01. Read more and get it here (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/news/20040809.shtml/).

Thanks Malcore.

Got it, like it. It scans a lot quicker.

Cool! Got it.

Looks pretty nice....the same, but different. :p (Options bar a little more "modern" looking...and obviously more settings to check out and tweak).

On the other hand. I hate this! :(

The fact that I can't stand not having the newest version means that after I'm done exploring and tweaking it on this Computer, I've still got two more to go. (Not counting the "kids" Machines!)

Hehe...just kidding. (Well, sort of). :D

(Edit) Been "playing" some more. Very nice. And cool new features. I've noticed it detects 5 more "running processes" than the old version while scanning...interesting.
Still looking into settings, options etc. but liking it.
And yes...FAST!

I downloaded it,
NAV2002 says it also came with two counter.class Java bugs when first running a scan.
I had downloaded from Major Geeks site.
It found 16 MRU items to clear, nothing major.

Made a another post on this, foolish me.
I thought it took a lot longer but I like it
Mark
Found over 80 data files from all the profiles on this computer including guest:DThe reason it took longer was that the first one was a full system scan vs the old smart scan which it is doing now
Very Very cool:cool:

Look around some more Mark...lots of potential "tweaking" to do.
For example, the different "Scan Now" modes....the "Smart Scan" is extremely fast.
(Lots to read about new features too in the Help files).

One other thing I noticed so far. My second Computer I decided to let SE detect my old 6.0 version and remove it, but it leaves the old program folder and some other misc. stuff that way so I prefer the way I did it with the first machine and completely uninstalled Adaware 6 first.
No biggie really....you can also manually delete the unwanted stuff. (Just an observation).

Anyway, one more to go. For tonight at least. :p

(Edit) Well, guess you snuck the "smart Scan" observation in there while I was posting. You're right though....pretty cool program. (Always was)
