Yeah, that's the problem of being first in line sometimes. Small enough download though and just running the new installer will prompt and uninstall the old version no problems.

Mark was first this time FTT :D :p

No Mark , I never really looked into the plugins. The only one I was interested when I did look was the file info one, but it was only for the professional version.

Which ones didn't work for you?

On ver 1.01, none worked. I am too tired now to fool with but will try tommorrow. The 1 I am interested in is the vx12 or whatever:D

The VX2 cleaner is only for Adaware 6 build 6.181
One of the others is for Pro version only, the others say they work on all versions. They also have one for Windows Messenger control and one to stop Windows Messenger when using OE, and one for Hexadecimal for reading cookies if so inclined.

You've got to be kidding me.
I just tried two different Mirrors that said 1.02 and still ended up with 1.01 again.
This after upgrading three computers last night mind you.
Think it's time for bed.

Who the heck does Lavasoft think they are releasing two upgrades in two days....Microsoft??? :(

(Edit) OK...just went to the Lavasoft Forums. I see I'm not alone. Many people have tried several different Downloads that say V1.02 but end up right back where they started at 1.01.

I realize it takes a while sometimes for all mirrors to be updated, but when they say "V1.02" and you get V1.01, I get irritated.
Guess you guys got lucky. I'll try again tomorrow.

I got it from the lavasoftware site on the right side where it say's version it's 1.02 now.
Not such a pain on this computer but on my wifes it was a real pain. The reason being that because she uses aol, a lot of her favorites come up as a false positive [as in possible browser hijacking] shopping sites and such.
This security business is becoming a pain in the a--

The problem is there are a few different lavasoft sites. lavasoft.nu still says 6.181 is the latest, lavasoftusa.com says SE 1.01 and lavasoft.de says SE 1.02.

Try here (http://www.lavasoft.de/default.shtml.en)

Here's agoofy question. I have Adaware 6 build 6.181. I assume that before I install SE 1.02, I need to uninstall Adaware 6. What happens to stuff that may have been quaranteened?

I would simply delete the quarantined items before uninstalling 6.181.
:p

running the new installer will prompt and uninstall the old version no problems.

Nothing about what it does with quarantined items, but according to Malcore, the installer deals with previous versions pretty well. I think someone made the same or similar comment in another thread last night.

Nothing about what it does with quarantined items

It leaves out quarantine, logs and pref.ini in Adaware6 folder.

What happens to stuff that may have been quaranteened?pop pop, unless you are thinking of submitting the quarantined objects to the vendor, there is no reason for hanging onto them. Zap them.
