Same as operating systems, just about any browser humans can come up with will have security issues. Even the computer on the Enterprise got taken over by some form of electronic life or other now and then...[The Trekkies out there will probably remember those episodes...] Hmmm...seems I remember even Data was a target a time or two...

Point is, there's no such thing as a bulletproof operating system or browser, the best they can write will never be perfect. With all the millions of lines of code that goes into a project like a full featured web browser, I don't think anyone could spot every little thing that someone else would potentially be able to exploit 6 months later...

Want to make your computer completely secure? There's one way and only one way...Pull the plug.

And that means no matter what operating system or browser you prefer to use. As much as I like Linux, it's not even close to bulletproof, it's just not a target nearly as often as Windows. If it ever does become a mainstream OS, we can look for the same things that have happened to Windows, but maybe not on the same scale.

They ALL have security issues that arise from time to time. I see other site forums where posters are very defensive about their browser being better than another. I have my own favorites for what I feel are good reasons, but I don't think running down another is good kharma, so I don't do that.
