Just bought a new hp zv5000z w/ a64 3000+. I have run a few benchmarks that more or less peg out the cpu, but it still only shows up as 1.58ghz (should be a 1.8ghz). How can I verify that I have the right processor?
Does anyone know how to turn off the powernow feature so I can be sure that it is running at 1.8ghz? Sometimes it is hard to catch it at the moment when the processor should be pegged so I might just be checking at the wrong time. The documentation points to a power options feature but the PowerNow is not anywhere I can find.
