sp 2 just showed up in Win update.

Well here goes nothin.
Funny thing is that it showed up on my wifes notebook and not my desktop [Actually that's cool better to destroy her notebook then my desktop]

very wierd, hit the download now and after over an hour nothing has happened.
I did not go looking for it. Showed up in auto updates and then nothing.

Fear not Mark....it may take some time and seem like nothing is happening, but at some point you will be notified that it's ready to install.
May even be tomorrow! You might get it in bits and pieces, but you can count on it notifying you when it's ready for installation. (Even if you hut the Computer off tonight, it will pick up where it left off when it begins downloading again).

On a related note, it won't be available for the Pro Addition via Windows Update until August 25th according to the latest reports.

When you finally get it, I think you'll like most of what you see. ;)

Just check your services Mark and make sure Event Log and Background Intelligence Transfer Service are both set to automatic. May take longer than a day. Microsoft said they will be monitoring the auto uodate of SP2 and will turn up or turn down the transfer rates accordingly.

We will see what happens tomorrow [she does not like to keep her precious on over nite]
