Ad-Aware SE

Ad-Aware's newest version is Ad-Aware Second Edition. I've read that there are some bugs in the Second Edition, and that it's best to use the earlier version. Does anyone know anything about this?

They updated it several times in rapid succession... It had some problems initially, but it seems to be stable right now and it is much more powerful than the old Ad-Aware... It is able to remove a number of things that used to require HJT... It still doesn't get everything, but it is a clear improvement... I would not go back to the old version....

rest easy, the bugs have been removed in the latest version out. As budfred says the new version is better than the old one.

They had some early problems until build 1.03, now updates are regular and it is stable. I recommend AAWSE for newbies/uninitiated for the first scan now because it updates immediately and does a full scan on the first install scan.
Also AAW 6 is on borrowed time, figure on updates stopping in 90 days or less.

Frank, a new update came out for SE today.
Still build 1.03.

Wow!! They're coming out fast. I downloaded mine this afternoon. I went back and looked at the version No. and it is 1.03. It might be a good idea for a person to check every couple of days.

Ad-Aware SE 1.05 is out now. I haven't downloaded it yet, but probably should soon. Just letting people know that it's out.
