Ok i try to keep this short and sweet. Got a new mobo and processer, took like 3hrs to get the sucker booted. Finally after getting it booted, had troubles loading drivers and i was getting windows protection errors and also on the ram count, it wasnt counting up.?(NV RAM COUNT) In the process of getting it booted , i cut the computer off but didnt unplug it, so while putting a screw in , bam sparks!? SO i said you S++
+, but finally i got it booted up and have intermittely problems?

Think i should take it back or get some more ram? I been down about a month and getting fed up with the whole process. Its getting expensive to ship this items back 10 bucks. This is the 3rd mobo i been through, my other broke or something, and i bought a refurbished mobo, BAD mistake. It dont work either. And this other crap on the forums dont help.

Sparks? Problems?
Sounds like a fried MB.

It would be my humble advice for you to take a careful look at the vast amount of information in the PC Guide about working on computers before you continue. It would surprise me if any dealer will warranty what happened to you, so be prepared to have to buy some new parts.
If you know anyone who has a good amount of experience building systems, I would ask them to come by to "look over your shoulder" when you resume working on it. They can be valuable help to you when you get stumped or frustrated.

Hey,

Sparks are not good. Send it back. As for the question of more RAM, it sounds more like you should get different RAM. But wait until you get the new board to see if it will boot up OK using the RAM you have now.

do nothing further...once there are sparks, something got fried. send it to the shop and explain everything you did in detail. hope you get it fixed.
